I purchased this so that when I need to work remote I don't lose the convenience of having to screens. I was hesitant because it isn't exactly inexpensive. However, I'm very glad I made this purchase. I have used this screen multiple times over the last few months and then pleased with it. The cord that goes to the computer to link the screen in can be a little annoying but it is necessary and certainly not something that makes me regret the purchase. The screen does not seem to run the battery down on my laptop very fast I do keep the I saver setting on both my screens so that may help with the battery life. There's only one thing that I do find a bit concerning though admittedly it's something that is to be expected. That is the addition of the second screen makes the laptop top heavy if you will. In that if you tilt the screen of the laptop back a little too far it will tilt or flip down. It is after all holding an entire second screen and the attachment to it so it makes sense that it's heavier. You just have to be aware of where you're setting your computer and how far back you're leaving the screen I would recommend not leaving the screen extended if you're leaving the area, wven for a few minutes, without pushing the screen back in and closing the laptop to assure that it doesn't tip over. Not sure if there would be any way to resolve that issue other than baby some type of kickstand to support the extra weight of the screen.Otherwise it's a great purchase I don't regret it at all and hope to be able to use it for quite some time.I have a specific application that necessitated a monitor like the Duex Pro. I normally work in an office and have two monitors hooked up to my laptop (total of three monitors) that allow me to work three screens at once. I will be working from home for a while, and could not see myself doing the detailed work I do without additional monitors. But my apartment is particularly small, without much space for traditional, additional monitors. Enter MobilePixels Duex Pro Portable Monitors.I bought two monitors - one to place on the right side of my laptop monitor and one for the left side. Every easy to set up. As the instructions indicate, all you need to do is affix the included adhesive-backed metal discs to the lid of your laptop. It only takes four discs, but they must be placed according to instructions and you should wait around three hours before use to let them more strongly adhere to your laptop.Once the four discs are secure, set up the first Duex Pro Monitor as instructed, with the monitor sliding out to the right of the laptop. You will need to download and install the monitor's driver. The instructions indicate that you need Admin access to install, but I didn't find that to be an obstacle. I just downloaded and installed without switching to Admin without any problem. When you plus in the monitor to your laptop's USB-A or USB-C outlet, the monitor will flash on, then off, and will finally power up within a minute. At that point, you can configure your view within your laptop's display options as explained in the enclosed instruction book. This entire process took only a few seconds! For the second monitor, I wasn't completely sure how to attach it. I spoke with Jack at MobilePixels Support, and found out that it was embarrassingly easy: just place the second Duex Pro Monitor stacked over the first one (see second picture), but with the monitor sliding out to the left of the laptop! Because of the extraordinarily strong magnets, the second monitor held as securely as the first. Since you've already downloaded the driver from the first, all you need to do is go to your laptop's Display settings to enable the second monitor. One point of clarification - the second monitor started out displaying as upside-down for me. Easy fix for PCs:1. Right-click on your screen and select Display settings.2. Select the left-hand (upside down) screen in Multiple Displays.3. Select “Landscape (flipped)” from the drop-down box: Display orientation.4. Confirm that the display appears as desired, then select "Keep Settings"As you can see from my first picture, the two monitors work exactly as desired. I can easily drag files and tabs to and from any screen. The image quality is very good! Each monitor is very light weight and stacked together they are still light enough not to interfere with my work routine. Both monitors (together) should easily fit in my work bag, although to be fair my case is not small.Overall, the monitors work very well, provide great visual clarity and due to their portability provide exactly the flexibility that I was looking for to work in a small space, whether on the road or at home. Was Leary on which monitor to purchase, but have been very satisfied with this portable monitor. So the only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of how it attaches to your laptop. The magnet and sticky stuff isn’t the greatest, and constantly comes off especially when removing the monitor. However, if you are going to leave the monitor on permanently (I don’t) it might be a lot better. This being said, the company also offers a kickstand which looks like it would be a good solution as well.I did have an issue, but the company stood by their product, treated me very kindly, and went above and beyond. So all in all, a good purchase. This is my first time buying a portable monitor so I don’t have anything to compare it to.As a tech enthusiast who uses a single 34'' curved monitor for my workflow, traveling is a pain for losing all the screen space. I've been using this product for two days, and I totally love it!Pros:- Basically recreate my ideal 34'' two-screen desk setup on the go- Super coinvent, comparing to carry a stand alone portable monitor- Light and thin, beautifully designedI particularly bought this because it slides back to the center on my Razer Blade 15 after closed. Others like SideTrak Swivel protrude out from one edge and looks uneven. In my opinion this is one of the greatest sins for a product.Cons:- The cable could be a bit shorter or even tugged away in some way- Some people in coffee shops will think it looks too cool to not ask you about it, interrupting the work (maybe a pro?)Overall, stop looking around and just buy it!Great idea, but after 2 days of working with it the adhesive wouldn't stick anymore. Had to run to walmart for a better adhesive, but still really doesn't work.It worked great for 3 days, then the magnets in my computer started to come off and so then my monitor wasn’t straight. Then, the USB-C broke off on day 4, and the USB one doesn’t work, so now, it is useless To me.I had high hopes and really liked how well it works for 3 days. Totally disappointed now.I bought this specifically to use over two laptops (work and university laptops). However, it doesn't come with replacement magnets (which if the device is to have any longevity it should come with anyway). Moreover, the seller only sells the replacement magnets in the United States (for $25) and on top of that to ship to Europe you have to pay $35. So in total you are forced to spend an extra 33% for something the device should come with, if you ever want to interchange the screen to a new laptop (either because you have more than one laptop or you replace your laptop). $60 for 4 small magnets is clearly an unaffordable and unviable option.Mobile Pixels obviously also see the practicality in having more than a single set of magnets as some of their other models seemingly *do* come with replacement magnets. In summary, MP should probably give replacement magnets in their screens, but more importantly should not sell the screens in a market if it won't also give normal affordable access to a very basic, but super critical replacement part.I had an earlier version of the MobilePixels Duex Pro (3 years old now and it's still doing a great job) and found it invaluable for getting work done when travelling or just working from home. I just got the new Duex Max and I'm pleased to say it's even better! It's light, but the (I went with the blue) cover is robust and looks great, and it's got a couple of buttons at the back to adjust brightness, contrast, saturation and a few other options (which is a great improvement). The new magnets are super-strong and hold the screen in place well, and setup was as simple as plugging it in.I'd recommend it for a small home office where you don't want a separate monitor out on the desk all the time, as well as working from anywhere in the world. Daher volle 5 Sterne und wärmste WeiterempfehlungGutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, sehr einfache Installation, super QualitätEasy to set-up and very durable so far. It has definitely helped to increase my productivity and works perfectly in my small work space.
